To begin setting up your integration with Motive, please make sure you have your subsidiaries set up first. Then, follow the instructions below to integrate with Motive.
Part 1: Add Motive as an integration
Go to the integrations tab of your management page:
Expand the ELD Section of the integrations:
Click on the Crayon icon next to the Motive Integration:
After making sure all the subsidiaries that have assets on that account have been selected, please click Save.
This will bring up a pop-up saying that you will be re-directed to the Motive website. Select Yes on it to proceed.
Login using your Motive admin credentials and follow the screen prompts to allow Motive to share data with Alvys.
Part 2: Add the Motive asset ID to individual assets within Alvys
*Before beginning part 3, you’ll need to have your trucks and/or trailers set up in the Alvys system.
Find the Assets option on the blue Alvys toolbar, then select either trucks or trailers (depending on what you need to set up).
From the list of assets, find and double-click the particular asset you are ready to assign. This will open the Edit Asset page.
On the asset page, scroll down to find the ELD Integrations section, then click the blue Add Integration button. Then, the Add Integration pop-up window will appear.
In the Add Integration window, click the drop-down menu and select Motive.
Next, find the Motive asset ID, (which can be found in the hyperlink of the asset when viewing it within the Motive portal), then paste it into the Integration ID field in the Add Integration window. Click the blue Save button. Then, repeat steps 2 through 6 for the rest of your Motive trucks and/or trailers. After you’ve completed this step for applicable assets, then you’re done! Great job!
