What is it?
Each subsidiary has a default equipment type that they allocate to loads. Users are able to set their subsidiary-level default equipment type to be used for load creation (by load entry or by tender acceptance). In addition, each customer ships a majority of their loads on one equipment type. Users are able to set the customer-level default to be used for load creation (by load entry or by tender acceptance).
Important note:
- Customer-level default may override subsidiary-level default
- Load-level equipment may override customer-level default
- If the default equipment for the customer and subsidiary are not defined, it should be left blank, giving the user the possibility to define that upon load entry
- Equipment length is NOT a requirement any longer, when completing load entry
